OpenAI has announced that ChatGPT Plus will be available for free to select users over the next few weeks. This subscription tier, which typically costs $20 per month, offers users access to deep research and multiple reasoning models, as well as limited access to Sora video generation.

ChatGPT Plus Free Access for Students

CEO Sam Altman also announced that students in the US and Canada can avail of free access to ChatGPT Plus until the end of May. This limited promotion is available to students enrolled at degree-granting schools in these countries. Students who are already paying for the service will receive two months of access at no additional cost.
